Dear Parents, Students and Staff

In the aftermath of the destruction visited on us by Cyclone Gonu, the whole Muscat International School community extends its sympathy and support to all who have been affected. Wa ukader juhudekum wa ta’awunekum wa allah ya tikum alla’afieh.

As we begin the process of setting up the school for the start of the new academic year, we would like to remind you of certain points.

Administration offices have been temporarily set up on the 1^st floor of the new building while repairs are being carried out in the main block. A skeleton staff will be available throughout the summer between the hours 9.00 a.m. and 2.00 p.m. Saturday to Wednesday. Since there is no school telephone / email network up and running yet, parents and visitors are asked to come to school with any queries in person where administration staff will be happy to help. However, do please bear with us while repairs and alterations are being carried out.  We will endeavour to inconvenience you as little as possible.

Please do be aware that the demand on student places at M.I.S. for the next academic year is very high and that you will need to secure your son’s/daughter’s seat here as urgently as possible so as not to be disappointed. Admission application forms are available for collection and deposit throughout the summer.

Please note that school will re-open on Monday, 27^th August, 2007 for students. We look forward to seeing you all again then. In the meantime, every good wish to you all for a peaceful, restful and happy summer holiday.
